Glenbrook Aquatics Divers claim second straight State Title!!!!
With 9 gold medals GA Diving took home the State title as a team for the second straight year. Emily Rourke, Mary Coleman and Meghan Coleman all took the gold in both the 1 meter and 3 meter events. Jon Roby and Erin Purdy claimed gold on 1 meter and Woody Lord on 3 meter. Jon Roby, Katherine Cook and Annie Connor on 3 meter and Woody Lord and Lisa Bolle on 1 meter brought home silver medals. Bronze medal finishers include Erin Purdy on 3 meter and Annie Connor on 1 meter.
Congrats to all the other GA Divers who contributed team points with top 12 finishes.

2009 AAU National Championships @ Indiana University Bloomington, IN
GA Diving had 8 of our 15 AAU National Qualifiers compete this past week. We finished 10th place as a team in the country with 5 of our 8 divers receiving All American awards. Jon Roby lead the charge with bronze medals on 1 meter, 3 meter and Platform. Woody Lord finished 4th on Platform, 5th on 3 meter and 10th on 1 meter. Erin Purdy finished 4th on 1 meter, 9th on Platform and 12th on 3 meter. Lisa Bolle finished 6th on 1 meter. Carrie Dinelli finished 10th on 1 meter. Jessie Dinelli, Maggie Kopp and Ellen Kawasaki also had great performances in the tough 15 and 17 year old age groups finishing just out of top 12 All American status.

AAU Diving National Team members - Lisa Bolle, Jon Roby, Woody Lord, Carrie Dinelli, Maggie Kopp, Erin Purdy, Jessie Dinelli, Olivia Loucks, Ellen Kawasaki, Brandon Degand, Katie Rourke, Christina Coleman, Meghan Coleman, Kristen Bagley and Alex Przybylo
US Diving Zone C Championship in Brown Deer, WI hosted 28 teams from 13 states and some of the best junior divers in the country. Top 12 finishers qualify to the US Diving Junior and Age Group National Championship in Moultrie, GA this August. GA Diving is proud to announce its 16th place finish as a team with Jon Roby qualifying on 1m, 3m and Platform, Erin Purdy qualifying on 1m and 3m, Katie Rourke qualifying on 3m and platform and Woody Lord, Christina Coleman and Meghan Coleman all qualifying on 3m springboard.
US Diving Region 5 Championships has 9 GA Divers advance to the US Diving Zone C Championships. Region 5 included 21 teams from 10 different states (including Olympic Training Center divers). GA Diving finished in 4th place as a team. Top 15 finishers in each event advance to the Zone C Championships. Jon Roby, Woody Lord, Erin Purdy, Jessie Dinelli, Olivia Loucks and Katie Rourke all qualified on 1m, 3m and Platform. Christina and Meghan Coleman advanced on both 1m & 3m springboards. Carrie Dinelli will compete on 1m springboard.
GA Diving claimed its first AAU Central Diving Association Championship as a team. Individual state champions include Katie Rourke 12-13 girls 3m, Meghan Coleman 10-11 girls 3m, Alex Przybylo 10-11 boys 1m, Hayden Winking 9 & under girls 1m and Lisa Bolle 19+ girls 1m. Silver medalists include Jon Roby 16-18 boys 1m & 3m, Brandon Degand 14-15 boys 1m, Katie Rourke 12-13 girls 1m, Christina Coleman 12-13 girls 3m, Meghan Coleman 10-11 girls 1m and Mary Coleman 9 & under 1m. Bronze medalists include Erin Purdy 14-15 girls 1m & 3m, Christina Coleman 12-13 girls 1m, Kristen Bagley 10-11 girls 1m and Emily Rourke 9 & under girls 1m.

USA Diving Spring Region 5 Championships was a great success for GA Diving. We finished 6th place as a team with 12 divers competing in 20 events. There were 177 total divers competing in 306 events. Top 6 finishers qualified for USA Diving Spring West National Championships in Houston, TX. Erin Purdy, Katie Rourke and Meghan Coleman all qualified on both 1 meter and 3 meter springboards. Jon Roby, Christina Coleman, Alex Przybylo, Sam Cothran, Jessie Dinelli and Ellen Kawasaki all added points with top 12 finishes. Carrie Dinelli, Woody Lord and Olivia Loucks also put in great performances in the very competitive 14-15 and 16-18 age groups. Great job to all our US divers. Special congrats to Erin, Katie and Meghan for their early entry to the 2009 GA Diving USA National Team.

Fall Session begins September 8
Erin Purdy is the 2008 AAU 1 meter Shoot Out National Champion!!!!!! Erin also claimed silver medal on Platform and bronze medals on 1 meter and 3 meter Springboards for 14 year old girls. Other All-Americans include Jon Roby (5th on 1 meter and 11th on 3 meter for 17 year old boys), Meghan Coleman (6th on 3 meter and 9th on 1 meter for 10 year old girls) and Olivia Loucks (6th on Platform for 13 year old girls). Cariie Dinelli, Jessie Dinelli, Ellen Kawasaki and Olivia Loucks also put in good springboard performances.
